Word and PDF document generation

Your template. Your data. Finished documents.

Upload a Word template with fields like {{client_name}}. DocGen turns it into a form: fill it in once and download ready-to-send Word or PDF files in seconds.

Free plan with 5 documents a day. No card needed.

Example: a lease agreement template with fields, and the PDF DocGen generated from it.

PDFLease agreement - Maria Popescu.pdf

Lease agreement

This agreement is made on 01.11.2026 between Acme Rentals Ltd. and Maria Popescu.

The monthly rent is EUR 850.

How it works

From a Word file to finished documents in four steps

Contracts, offers, certificates, reports and letters: anything you write in Word again and again.

  1. Upload a template

Write the document in Word as usual. Where the data goes, type a field in double curly braces, like {{client_name}}.

  2. Check the fields

DocGen reads the placeholders and proposes a field for each one. Check them and pick the type you need: text, date, number, dropdown, image and more.

  3. Fill in the data

Enter the data in the form DocGen builds, or pick saved records such as a client or an engineer.

  4. Download

Generate Word, PDF or both. Several templates at once arrive as one ZIP file.

Features

Built around the Word files you already have

Your layout stays yours

DocGen fills in your own .docx file and keeps its formatting: fonts, tables, headers and logos.

Eight field types

Text, paragraph, number, date, yes/no, dropdown, image and collection. Make fields required, give them defaults, or show them only when they apply.

Saved records

Keep clients, engineers or products as collections. Pick one, and {{engineer.name}} and {{engineer.signature}} fill in by themselves.

Images and signatures

Upload a PNG or JPEG, such as a logo or a signature, and place it in the document at the size you choose.

Word, PDF or both

Generate several templates from the same data in one go and download them as one ZIP. A document that fails can be retried.

Private and secure

Encrypted connections, private file storage in the European Union and encrypted backups.

Pricing

Start free. Pay when you need more documents.

Every plan includes Word, PDF and ZIP downloads, collections and images. Plans differ in how many documents you can generate each day and how many templates each project can use.

What is document generation (DocGen)?

Document generation, often shortened to DocGen, means creating documents automatically from a template and data instead of editing a copy by hand. DocGen does this for Word templates: one template and a form produce a finished Word or PDF document for each client, project or employee.

Is DocGen a mail merge tool?

It works like mail merge for Word templates, with more: a form instead of a spreadsheet, saved records such as clients or engineers, images and signatures, sections that appear only when they apply, and PDF output. Each document is filled from one entry; importing a spreadsheet is not available yet.

What do I need to get started?

A Word (.docx) file. Wherever the data should go, type a field name in double curly braces, such as {{client_name}}. DocGen reads the fields and builds the form for you. The template guide shows every kind of placeholder.

Do I need to install anything?

No. DocGen runs in your browser. You only need Word, or any editor that saves .docx files, to write the templates.

Which formats can I download?

Word (.docx), PDF, or both. When you generate several templates for the same data, you get them together in one ZIP file.

Where is my data stored?

On servers in the European Union. Your files are private to your workspace. Generated documents are kept for 30 days, so download the ones you need to keep.

How does the free trial work?

Your first paid plan starts with 7 free days. You add a card at checkout, and the first payment is taken when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, at any time from Billing. Upgrades apply right away. A lower plan, or a move from annual to monthly billing, applies at the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel, your plan stays active until then.
